Hello Rose Township!

 

My name is Mike Maher, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the trustee position in Rose Township. Having been a resident of Rose Township for over three decades, my wife and I have built our lives here and raised our family in this wonderful community. We cherish the serene open spaces, the warmth of our friendly neighbors, and the enriching lifestyle that has greatly benefited our children. Our kids have had the privilege of growing up immersed in hobby farming, actively participating in raising our family's food supply business, and engaging in activities with organizations like 4H. Rose Township holds a special place in our hearts, and I am eager to contribute my time and efforts to serving the community through the township government. I am committed to upholding the values and traditions that make Rose Township a truly exceptional place to live and thrive.

    As a small business owner, I have a natural tendency to be very conservative.  I weight out business decisions carefully and am generally careful and cautious when spending my family’s resources.

    I would be even more careful and considerate when asked to oversee and steward someone else’s tax dollars on township expenditures.

    While recognizing the importance of living in and being willing to provide oversight for our township, I recognize and appreciate the rights of property owners.

    A guiding principle that Mike uses day to day is to love God, and love your neighbor. Mike recognizes that his neighbors might not always agree on all issues, it is important though that they are treated with respect and that their views are heard and considered.
